Two police officers were killed in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan provinces, APA's Tehran bureau reports citing police command of Sistan and Baluchestan.
It's stressed that last night, the police officers of the Bampur district police station of the state were attacked by armed men while carrying out their patrol mission.
During the shooting major Mukhtar Momini and lieutenant Abuzar Umidvar lost their lives and one police officer got injured.
The members of the attacking armed gang fled the scene.
A criminal case has been initiated. A special operation-search group was created for the arrest of armed persons.
