South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol expressed on Sunday hopes that Seoul and Tokyo can work on further deepening cooperation on economic security, APA reports citing Teletrader.
During a joint visit to a cenotaph honoring the Korean victims at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Yoon remarked that this moment will be "remembered as a courageous act by the prime minister to prepare for a peaceful future."
Kishida underlined that the visit is "very important" for Japan-South Korea relations and added that this third summit held between the two countries shows progress has been made with regard to bilateral ties.
