A new Deputy Defense Minister of Azerbaijan has been appointed, the Defense Ministry told APA.
By the relevant order of President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, Lieutenant General Fuad Mammadov was relieved of the post of Deputy Defense Minister for Logistics - Chief of Logistics.
Lieutenant General F. Mammadov was appointed to a relevant position in the ministry by the order of the Minister of Defense.
Lieutenant General Nizam Osmanov has been temporarily appointed Deputy Minister of Defense for Logistics - Chief of the Main Logistics Department.
