In accordance with the Agreement on Military Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey, Azerbaijani-Turkish Live Fire Joint Large-Scale Tactical and Flight-Tactical Exercises with the participation of the Land Forces and Air Forces of both countries will be held in Nakhchivan, APA reports.
The joint exercises will involve military personnel, armored vehicles, artillery mounts, and mortars, as well as military aviation and air defense equipment of the armies of the two countries. In preparation for the exercises, a ceremony was held to change the state flags of the two fraternal countries. The military personnel and military equipment of the Turkish Armed Forces arrived in Nakhchivan.
The Flag Platoon of the Combined Arms Army began a march through the Umid Bridge over the Araks River in the direction of the Sadarak border checkpoint to take part in the flag change ceremony. At the same time, the Flag Platoon of the Turkish Republic also began a march from the city of Doğubayazıt in the direction of the Sadarak border checkpoint.
After the performance of the national anthems of the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the ceremony of changing the national flags of the two fraternal countries took place on the Umid Bridge.
After the Flag Changing Ceremony, the military personnel and military equipment of the Turkish Armed Forces involved in the exercises moved to the exercise’s areas.
A solemn welcoming ceremony for the servicemen of the fraternal country took place in the military unit of the Combined Arms Army. At the ceremony, the speakers spoke about the developing Turkish-Azerbaijani fraternal relations and military-technical cooperation.
Then, representatives of the Turkish Armed Forces participating in the exercises were accommodated in the military unit of the Combined Arms Army.
