Medal "For Courage" presented to the family of military pilot Rashad Atakishiyev

On the instructions of the Minister of Defense, the Deputy Minister of Defense - Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Ramiz Tairov visited the family of Lieutenant Colonel Rashad Atakishiyev, the pilot of MiG-29 of the Air Force of Azerbaijan crashed during training flights, the Ministry of Defence told APA.
The Deputy Minister congratulated the family of the deceased pilot on the upcoming holidays on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense noted that Lieutenant Colonel R. Atakishiyev during his service in the Azerbaijan Army approved to be a professional, exemplary officer, the patriot of his country, and his merits were always highly appreciated.
According to the instructions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the Medal “For Courage” of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which was awarded to Lieutenant Colonel R. Atakishiyev posthumously for his services in the performance of his military duty to defend the Motherland, was presented to his family on the eve of the holiday on December 28.
After the presentation of the award, Lieutenant General R. Tairov inquired about the concerns of the military pilot's family and presented holiday gifts. R. Atakishiyev’s family members expressed gratitude to the head of state and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense for the attention and care.
