Meeting of the Defense Ministers of the countries of CIS and SCO held in Moscow - UPDATED

^{Meeting of the Defense Ministers of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has been held in Russia, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.}

^{Defense Ministers of 13 countries have attended the meeting in Moscow.}

^{Secretary of the CIS Executive Committee Nikolai Lebedev and CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas have also attended the joint meeting.}

^{Russia’s Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu made an opening speech. Then Nikolay Lebedev and Stanislav Zas delivered speeches.}

^{The event continued its work without the participation of the press.}

^{The defense ministers discussed at the meeting the issues of ensuring international and regional security, uniting efforts for prevention of threat of occurrence of wars and armed confrontations, further strengthening of military cooperation in contemporary conditions.}

^{A communiqué regarding the results of the event has been signed.}
