“I am convinced that this report was not submitted to the UN by the so-called “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic”. Only UN members can publish their reports on the UN’s official website. Therefore, I can say that only the Republic of Armenia could do that,” Oleg Kuznetsov, a Russian expert, told ONAcommenting on a report of the so-called "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic" posted on the UN official website.
O. Kuznetsov said that according to the UN charter, each member country of the organization may publish its reports according to its status, and that member country is responsible for the document’s content.
“The document of Armenia’s UN office is not a UN document,” he said.
The expert also stressed that he does not believe the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be solved through the preparation of peoples to a peace.
According to him, the conflict cannot be solved peacefully.
“The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is used by the forces outside the South Caucasus within global geopolitics. The conflict was not created in the Caucasus, and so its peaceful settlement is impossible. The main beneficiaries of this conflict are neither in Baku nor in Yerevan,” O. Kuznetsov said.
