Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Defense, Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Ramiz Tahirov on Wednesday met with a delegation led by the Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, the Defense Ministry told APA.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on future prospects for cooperation in the military, military-technical sphere and in the field of military education, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
Prior to the meeting, the Pakistani delegation visited the grave of Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev and outstanding scientist-ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva in the Alley of Honor. They also visited the Alley of Martyrs to honor the memory of heroic sons who gave their lives in the struggle for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
