Azerbaijan ordered Iron Dome anti-missile system and Tamir interceptor missiles from Israel in 2016, read a report by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) on weapons purchased by Azerbaijan in 2015-2016, APA reported.
According to the report, Azerbaijan’s main arms suppliers are Israel, Turkey and Russia.
The report further said that during the reporting period Azerbaijan purchased from Israel OPV-62 border guard ships, Orbiter-1K unmanned air vehicles, Barak-8 surface-to-air missiles, EL/M-2080 Green Pine ground-based missile-defense radars, LAHAT light-weight anti-tank guided missiles, Spike non-line-of-sight missiles, ELM-2288 AD-STAR radars, Harop drones performing area surveillance and reconnaissance and SandCat armored vehicles.
