Azerbaijani army prevents another border provocation by Armenia - VIDEO

Azerbaijan’s Armed Forces have prevented another attempted provocation by the Armenian army on the border in the direction of the country’s Gazakh district, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense told APA on Feb. 12.

“On the morning of February 11, Armenia’s armed units, taking advantage of the foggy weather conditions, made an attempt to infiltrate the Azerbaijani army positions,” the defense ministry said. “The UAZ with Armenia’s reconnaissance and sabotage group inside, moving in the direction of Azerbaijani positions, was timely detected.”

“As a result of preventive measures taken by the Azerbaijani army, the enemy’s infiltration attempt was immediately suppressed. The Armenian reconnaissance and sabotage group abandoned the vehicle and hurried back to its positions. The sabotage group also opened fire at the vehicle, destroying it, while retreating back,” the defense ministry added.
