Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has left for Moscow to take part in the next meeting of the Council of CIS Defense Ministers to be held on November 30, the Defense Ministry said on Nov. 29.
During the visit, Hasanov will meet with Russian Defense Minister, Army General Sergey Shoigu to discuss various aspects of the military cooperation between the two countries and regional security issues.
A cooperation plan for 2017 between the defense ministries of Azerbaijan and Russia is expected to be signed.
In addition, Minister Hasanov will have meetings with defense ministers of several countries.
