Turkey appoints new military attaché to Azerbaijan

Baku – APA. On November 1, Azerbaijan's Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozoral.

 

The minister congratulated the ambassador on the beginning of his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan and wished him success in his activity aimed at expanding cooperation between the two countries, the Defense Ministry reported.

 

The diplomat, in turn, expressed satisfaction with the beginning of his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan, noting that he will make every effort for the development of Azerbaijan-Turkey ties, in particular for cooperation in the military sphere.

 

Then, the Turkish diplomat introduced to Minister Hasanov the new-appointed military attaché of Turkey to Azerbaijan Brigadier General Zafer Ocak.

 

The sides also discussed military-political situation in the region, as well as the settlement process of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
