Baku – APA. The 3rd degree medal “For distinction in military service”, which was awarded posthumously to serviceman of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces Agil Malikov under the order of Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov, has been presented to his family members.
Representative of the Defense Ministry, Colonel Abdulla Gurbani, representatives of the district authorities, military officers, as well as locals attended the ceremony in Boyuk Khojavar village of Masalli district. The participants said that Malikov, who died for the homeland, will always live in memories, and his brief and meaningful life will be an example for future generations.
The medal of the martyred serviceman was presented to bereaved father Gismat Malikov.
Agil Malikov, serviceman of Azerbaijani Armed Forces was killed on Nov. 15 as a result of shelling of the Azerbaijani army positions by Armenian Armed Forces in Fuzuli district, on the contact line of the two countries’ troops.
