Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the volume of defense products transferred to the Ministry of Defense and other defense structures has increased 1.3 fold, Minister of Defense Industry Yaver Jamalov said at a meeting dedicated to the results of the first half of 2017.
The Minister noted that in the first half of this year the total volume of products produced increased by 33.8% compared to the same period of the last year.
"The range of defense products reached 1,200. During the reporting period, work was successfully completed on the development and production of the Tufan armored vehicle with mine protection. Also, with the participation of specialists, a presentation of this armored car was held. Now preparatory work is under way for its serial production. Along with this, the enterprises of the Ministry completely completed work on the preparation of production, and began the production of the sniper rifle "Yalquzaq" and F-1 hand grenade,” he said.
