In January-June of this year, Azerbaijan has imported in total 79.9 tonnes of coffee with roasted caffeine worth to USD 771,44 thousand, according to the calculations conducted by APA-Economics on the basis of indicators presented by the State Statistics Committee.
It is a decrease of 23.8% in value, while 17.7% in volume in comparison with the same period of the previous year.
Coffee with roasted caffeine has mostly been imported from Italy. In the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 25.4 tonnes of coffee worth to USD 300.4 thousand. The second-largest share belongs to Turkey. 20.4 tonnes of coffee worth to USD 126.8 thousand has been exported to Azerbaijan from this country.
Russia is also among the main coffee exporters of Azerbaijan. Following Italy and Turkey, Russia exported 10.1 tonnes of coffee with roasted caffeine worth USD 52.4 thousand in the first half of the year.
