Azerbaijani companies interested in being represented in Syria market

A business forum involving Syrian investors and Azerbaijani entrepreneurs will be organized in Baku in the end of February this year, Yalchin Aliyev, Executive Director of Arabian Countries’ Cooperation Association told "APA-Economics".

He said during the forum to be held with participation of approximately about 25 Syrian investors the prospects of cooperation in mainly three areas will be reviewed. These areas are agriculture, industry and trade.

"As you know the Syrian market is already accessible for entrepreneurs and taking this into consideration, we are interested in representation of local companies in this market", Y. Aliyev noted.

The Executive Director of the Association also added that implementation of joint business forums in a number of countries by the end of the current year had been envisaged: "Thus the implementation of business forums has been envisaged in the end of May and beginning of June in Egypt, in September in Morocco, and in the end of the year in one of the Persian Gulf countries".
