Uber Technologies, Inc. launched Uber Boat service in London in cooperation with Thames Clippers, the company unveiled on Wednesday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The San Francisco-based firm will receive a commission from each ticket sold for Uber Boat service, without acquiring a stake in Thames Clippers as part of the deal. The commission rates haven't been disclosed.
"Many Londoners are looking for new ways to travel around the city, particularly when they start commuting back to work," Jamie Heywood, Uber’s general manager for northern and eastern Europe, said in a statement.
