"SOCAR Carbamid" plant intends to increase output by 5 times in next year

The "SOCAR Carbamid" plant engaged in production of urea will start to operate at full capacity in the next year, Khayal Jafarov, Director of "SOCAR Carbamid" plant said in a statement to journalists, "APA-Economics" reports.

He said currently the plant produces 1 800-2 000 tons of the product per day. For production of the product, the enterprise receives over 1.5 mln. cubic meters of natural gas per day.

Kh. Jafarov noted that it was expected to produce 600 -650 thousand tons of urea in the next year, 500-550 thousand tons of which would be exported. Approximately 75-80% of the export will fall to the share of Turkey: “During this year, the plant has produced about 130 thousand tons of the product, 100 thousand tons of which were exported, 15 thousand tons of which were sold at the domestic market, and the remaining part of which was placed in the warehouse”.
