108 billion cubic meters of gas was produced from the Shah Deniz gas and condensate field, located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, BP, the operator of the Shah Deniz project, told APA-Economics.

According to BP, 27 million tons of condensate have been produced so far.

Note that in the first half of the current year, 8.4 billion c/m gas has been produced in Shahdeniz field, situating in Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, and it is 68% more than the corresponding period of the previous year, BP, operator of ACG (Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli) told APA-Economics.

In January-June, 2 millions tones of gas condensate have been produced and it means an increase of 82%.

The production has been gradually continued to rise since the first gas was produced from Shahdeniz-Bravo platform – end of July of the previous year.

The production capacity of existing Shahdeniz equipment is 56 million standard c/m (20 billion per year).

Note that USD 376 million operational expenditures, and USD 555 million capital expenditures were spent on Shahdeniz operations in the first half of 2019. Mast majority of capital expenditures were spent on Shah Deniz-2 project.

Shahdeniz participating interests are: BP (28.8 per cent), TPAO (19 per cent), AzSD (10%), SGC Upstream (6.7%), PETRAPAS (15.5%), LUKOIL (10%), NIKO (10%).
