Average daily transportation power of South Caucasus pipeline increased by 16%

During January-September of this year the operation costs for South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) and its expanded part (the expanded pipeline – SCPE) exceeded $ 35 mln. This indicator increased by 6,1% compared with relevant indicator of 2019, APA-Economics informs citing the published report on outcomes of operations conducted by BP (project operator) in Azerbaijan during I quarter of 2020.

In the reporting period, the capital expenses for SCP and SCPE were approximately $ 8 mln. (decline by 3,5 times).
SCPE pipeline was commissioned in the late 2006 and delivers Shah Deniz gas to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, while SCPE (in the framework of South Caucasus Pipeline) started to hand over to Turkey commercial gas volumes in June of 2018.
