Azerbaijan-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss impact of coronavirus on economy

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Azerbaijan and France (CCIAF) together with “MEDEF International” and Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (Azpromo) plans to hold online meeting with Azerbaijan’s Economy minister Mikayil Jabbarov on May 12, the CCIAF told “APA-Economics”.

It is planned to discuss during the meeting the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on economy, the measures taken by the Azerbaijani government regarding the pandemic, the activity of the Azerbaijani and French companies during the period of pandemic.

In addition, the results of the activities implemented by CCIAF for companies in the new conditions, the possible contributions that can be made by the French companies in the area of diversification and improvement of resilience of the Azerbaijani economy will alsi be discussed. The opportunity will also be created for the participants to ask the questions of their interest regarding the discussed topics.

The meeting will be moderated by the executive director of “MEDEF International” company Philippe Gautier. It has been envisaged that the meeting will be attended by the honorable guests – the ambassador of France to Azerbaijan Zacharie Gross and the ambassador of Azerbaijan to France Rahman Mustafayev, the member companies of CCIAF and directors of the French companies functioning in France.
