Azerbaijan increases electricity production

In May of this year, the countrywide electricity production was 1,899.6 mln. kW·hour, electricity export – 21.7 mln. kW·hour, electricity import – 17.5 mln. kW·hour, the Ministry of Energy told “APA-Economics”.

As compared with relevant period of 2019, in May, 2020, the countrywide electricity production decreased by 17.5 mln. kW·hour, the electricity export – by 2.7 mln. kW·hour, while the electricity import – by 8.6 mln. kW·hour.

According to the report, during January-May of the current year, the countrywide electricity production increased by 51.1 mln. kW·hour as compared with relevant period of the last year and equaled to 10,796.5 mln. kW·hour.
