Azerbaijan intends to export tomatoes to the Gulf and European countries

The issue of diversification regarding the export of tomato products is strictly considered which is about the export of products to the Gulf and European countries, said the acting head of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (Azpromo) Yusif Abdullayev during his speech at the online press conference regarding the activity of the Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (Azpromo) in Azerbaijan in 2020, the work to be performed and the exhibitions to be held this year, and export missions.

According to him, special certificates regarding export of product to these markets should be obtained and relevant works in this direction have been started: “For example, a product can not be exported to Europe without a GlobalG.A.P certificate. It is obligatory. The mentioned product will not be able to be imported there without this certificate, even if its quality is too much. This certificate is wanted in the Gulf countries too, but it is not obligatory. But a product with the GlobalG.A.P certificate is accepted more pleasantly. Works in this direction have already been started.”
