Azerbaijan was Russia's main white sugar supplier last year

According to the results of 2020, Belarus and Azerbaijan became main white sugar suppliers of Russia, APA-Economics reports citing the report of Federal Customs Service of Russia.

It is noted in the report that production of white sugar to Russia has made up 179,2 thousand tons last year, and this is 40% less than in comparison to the figure of a year ago. Last year, the share of Belarus in the import of white sugar to Russia was 98.29%, and the share of Azerbaijan was 0.49%.

Moreover, white sugar export from Russia has made up 1 030,2 thousand tons increasing by 70,7% last year in comparison to 2019.

Last year, main importer countries over this product were Kazakhstan(23,56%) and Uzbekistan (22,71%).
