Azerbaijan was largest exporter of oil bitumen to Georgia this year

In January-October of this year, Georgia’s oil bitumen decreased by 45,2 thousand tones or 30,1%, made up 105,1 thousand tones in annual comparison, report of the Georgian Petroleum Importers Union reads, APA’s Georgia bureau reports.
It has been noted that 62,5% or 65,7 thousand tones of the imported product fell on share of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan was the largest exporter of oil bitumen to Georgia this year with this indicator.
The countries to which Georgia imports oil bitumen are Iraq (23.9% or 25.1 thousand tons), Iran (7.2% or 7.6 thousand tons), Russia (3% or 3.2 thousand tons), Turkey. (2.1% or 2.2 thousand tons), Armenia (0.9% or 0.9 thousand tons), UAE (0.2% or 0.2 thousand tons) and Albania (0.2% or 0.2 thousand tons).
In October of the current year alone, Georgia’s oil bitumen import decreased by 17% or 3 thousand tonnes in annual comparison and made up 14,6 thousand tonnes. 78,8% or 11,5 thousand tones of imported product in October fell on share of Azerbaijan.
