Azerbaijani Energy Minister to attend 7th Ministerial Meeting of OPEC plus

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov has paid a visit to Vienna, Austria at the invitation of Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, the Secretary-General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the Ministry told APA.

The Minister will attend the 7th Ministerial Meeting of OPEC and Non-OPEC countries on December 6.

At the Vienna meeting of the “OPEC plus” ministers, the situation of the global oil market will be discussed. The presentation of OPEC prepared on the basis of the analysis of trends in the world economy and oil market development and performance of the countries over the commitments will be reviewed.

Note that “Declaration of Cooperation” signed on December 7, 2018, on the reduction of oil production for “OPEC plus” by 1.2 million barrels per day was extended from July 1 of the current year till the end of the first quarter of 2020.
