Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli: “All projects of BP in the Caspian Sea are implemented in accordance with schedule”

All the projects of BP in the Caspian Sea are implemented in accordance with the schedule,” said BP's Vice President for Public Relations, External Affairs, and Strategic Issues in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli at the webinar on "Energy Issues in the period of COVID-19" organized by the Center for International Relations Analysis.

According to him, the construction schedule of a new platform in Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block of fields can change, however, the first oil production is unchangeable, expected for 2023.

B. Aslanbayli noted that currently, an exploration well is drilled in Shafag-Asiman offshore block located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea and the work is planned to be ended at the end of this year.
