Baku to host VI Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory tomorrow

Preparation works for VI Ministerial meeting on the sidelines of the Advisory Council of Southern Gas Corridor to be held on February 28 in Baku, have been completed and participation of 13 countries has been approved, Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy told APA-Eonomics.

This meeting of the Advisory Council will be attended by the Deputy Director-General responsible for the coordination of energy policy, the Energy Union and external policy in Directorate-General "Energy" (ENER) of the European Union Klaus-Dieter Borchardt, and from the countries involved in the ”Southern Gas Corridor” project – Turkey’s Deputy Minister of Energy and National Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natela Turnava, Italy’s Deputy Minister of Economic Development Alessandra Todde, Greece’s Deputy Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change Gerassimos Tomas, and Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy Temenujka Petkova. The USA will be represented by the Department of State Bureau of Energy Resources’ Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Diplomacy Kurt Donnelly, and the United Kingdom will be represented by the UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy Baroness Emma Nicholson.
