British companies are interested in participating in the reconstruction and restoration works in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov has received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Azerbaijan James Sharp, the Ministry told APA.
The sides have held a discussion on bilateral relations, opportunities for cooperation in the energy field, as well as the establishment of green energy zones in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan from occupation.
According to the information of the Ministry, emphasizing the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom in all areas, including the energy sector, the minister talked about the efficient cooperation relations implemented with BP company, praised the joint efforts in accordance with the challenges facing the energy sector, including the development of using renewable energy. He gave information about the plans to restore the liberated territories from occupation and create a green energy zone, as well as the high potential for the use of renewable energy in those areas.
Ambassador noted that British companies are interested in restoration-reconstruction works, to be conducted in electric power field in the liberated territories from occupation, as well as in the improvement of the use of renewable energy in Azerbaijan in general.
Execution process of the protocol of the third meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission between Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, holding next meeting, and other several mutually-interested issues have also been discussed at the meeting.
