In order to determine and prevent on time, the sale of medicines at a price different from the approved price in Azerbaijan and the creation of drug shortage by unfounded withdrawal from circulation, the monitorings conducted by State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy have been strengthened, the representative of State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Market Control Gunel Bahramgizi has commented on the aforementioned issue, APA-Economics reports.
She noted that according to the existing legislation, regulation of prices of state registered medicines is carried out by the Tariff (price) Council.
“The price of 12.114 medicines has been approved by Tariff Council so far."
