Sharp deterioration of the weather condition has resulted in to increase in demand for gas in Azerbaijan, Azerigaz Production Union told APA-Economics.
Weather sharply deteriorated from yesterday in the country. Especially in mountainous areas, frosty weather is observed.
“Employees of the Production Union tries there not to be interruptions in gas supply in any place. Some short breaks were caused by accidents beyond our control,” Azerigaz said.
According to the information, there is also an increase in the volume of gas supplied to the network. On February 17 alone, nearly 32 mln. cubic metres of gas was received on population subscribers. The increase equals 2,6 mln. cubic meters or 8,8% in comparison to the same day of the previous year.
“So, there is a demand, and in the end it means an increase in consumption,” said Production Union.
