“I am very encouraged by the statements of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov that Azerbaijan is capable to provide the Western Balkans with a diversified energy mix” said EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi during his speech at the 7th ministerial meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) Consultative Council, APA reports.

I hope that, today we open new page in expanding the project and expanding to the Western Balkans” said EU commissioner.
“EU official welcomed completion of Trans-Adriatic Pipeline and start of commercial supply of natural gas from Azerbaijan to EU: “So, the last stage of Southern Gas Corridor finishes. This is great success which we owe to the vision, determination and effective cooperation of the states, public and private stakeholders attending here today. I congratulate everyone! Southern Gas Corridor has been a part of “20 results for 2020” policy of “Western Cooperation” EU offical said.
