Export of electricity from Azerbaijan to Georgia decreases by 10%

Azerbaijan exported 904 006 mln. kW-hours of electricity to Georgia during January-November of this year, says the report of Georgia’s Electric System Commercial Operator (ESCO), local bureau of APA reports.

It is noted that this indicator is by 10.1% less, than the indicator for the same period of the last year. And only during November of the current year the volume of electricity imported by Georgia from Azerbaijan reduced by 62.7% as compared with the same period of the last year and amounted to 80,403 mln. kW-hours. During January-November of the current year, Azerbaijan imported from Georgia a total of 12,105 mln. kW-hours of electricity.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan transmitted to Turkey through territory of Georgia 116,689 mln. kW-hours of electricity.

During the reporting period Azerbaijan was the largest purchaser of Georgian electricity. And the electricity exported by Russia to this country amounted to 511,976 mln. kW-hours.
