The volume of vegetable production in Azerbaijan is forecasted to be made up 1 847,5 mln tons till the end of next year, APA-Economics reports citing "Concept and forecast indicators of economic and social development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2021 and the next 3 years" included in the budget envelope for 2021.
According to the forecasts, the growth dynamic of vegetable production in 2024 will be as follows:
1,5% ( 1 876,3 thousand tons) in 2022, 1,4% (1 904,1 thousand tons) in 2023, and 0,8% ( up to 1 919 thousand tons) in 2024.
The growth of fruit and berry production is also forecasted in the country in the next 4 years. Thus, it is expected to be produced of 1 276,6 thousand tons of fruit and berry in 2021, 1 355 thousand tons in 2022, 1 453,1 thousand tons in 2023, and 1 575,5 thousand tons in 2024.
