Georgia decreases electricity import from Azerbaijan by 35%

In January-July of this year, Georgia imported electricity from Azerbaijan worth to USD 21 689,3 thousand, APA's Georgian bureau reports citing National Statistics Office of Georgia.

It has been noted value of the energy, imported from Azerbaijan has decreased by USD 9 899.7 thousand or 31.3% in annual comparison. In the first seven months of 2019, value of the energy imported from Azerbaijan to Georgia has been USD 31 589 thousand.

According to the report of Electricity System Commercial Operator of Georgia (ESCO), Georgia imported 416,514 mln. kW/h electricity in January-July of this year from Azerbaijan, which is 224,854 mln. kW/h or 35% less in comparison with the same period of the previous year.
