"SOCAR has received proposals regarding purchase of Israel’s Ashdod oil refinery", deputy head of Public relations and events’ organization department of SOCAR Ibrahim Ahmadov told APA-Econimics while commenting on the news published in the Israeli press regarding purchase of the aforementioned refinery by SOCAR.
It is noted in Israel’s Calcalist newspaper that the Azerbaijani representative are holding negotiations with several Israeli companies because SOCAR needs a local partner in order to purchase Ashdod refinery. Israel’s Shafir Andasa and Aspen companies are mentioned as the partners.
"We have received such a proposal, but currently SOCAR doesn’t consider such an investment", I. Ahmadov said.
