Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has met with a delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto, who is on a working visit to Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on issues arising from energy cooperation between the two countries, including the important role of Azerbaijan in the diversification of Europe's energy supply, especially gas supply.
Hungarian Minister Peter Szijjarto has noted that his country's companies are interested in participating in the reconstruction of the liberated territories at a time when new realities are emerging in the region after Azerbaijan's victory in Patriotic War. Noting that the Southern Gas Corridor is of great importance for Hungary in terms of gas sources and diversification of routes, the minister expressed interest in expanding the project to Central Europe, emphasizing the importance of connecting pipelines
A number of other issues of mutual interest have been discussed at the meeting.
