More than 6.4 mln. tonnes of oil produced in ACG in first quarter of this year

In the first quarter of this year, more than 6.4 mln. tonnes of oil has been produced in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) oil-gas field, situated in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, and it is 8.6% less in comparison with the corresponding period of 2019, APA-Economics reports citing BP’s (operator of project) report regarding annual results of 2019 on its operations in Azerbaijan.

According to the report, at the end of the quarter, 129 oil wells were producing, while 42 wells were used for water and seven for gas injection.

It has been noted in the reports that in the first quarter of 2020, about $150 million has been spent in operating expenditure and about $522 million in capital expenditure on ACG activities.
