Oil transportation via Baku-Supsa pipeline increased by 13%

In January- September of this year, 3 069 thousand tones of oil was transported via Baku-Supsa Western Export Pipeline, which is 13% more in comparison to the same period of the previous year, State Statistics Commiteee told APA-Economics.

In January-September of 2019, 2 716 thousand tones of oil were transported through this pipeline.

The Western Export Pipeline transports oil produced in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea to world markets via Georgia.

Crude oil is loaded onto tankers at Georgia's Supsa terminal and sent to European markets via the Bosphorus.
