During January-August of this year, 23 945,7 thousand tons of oil were transported via trunk oil pipelines which is 9,2% less in annual expression, the State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.
79,7% of transportation implemented via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil export pipeline and during January-August of the current year, 19 077,1 thousand tons of oil were transported via this pipeline. This indicator decreased by 10,5% during the last one year.
During that period, 2 764,7 thousand tons (-10,8%) of transit oil were also transported via BTC pipeline.
