Price of Vodka to increase in Russia after New year

Minimum retail prices for alcoholic beverages including vodka, cognac, and sparkling wines will increase from January 1 2020 in Russia, APA-Economics reports citing the Ministry of Finance of Russia.

Thus, from the next year, the minimum retail price of 0.5 liters of vodka will increase by 5.7% - from the current 230 rubles (5.05 manat) to 243 rubles (5.34 manat).

The minimum retail price for cognac increase 3% - from the current 433 rubles (9.51 manat) to 446 rubles (9.80 manats) for 0.5 liters, and the price of 0.75 liters of sparkling wine (champagne) from 3% to 164 rubles (3 , 60 manats) will increase to 169 rubles (3.71 manat).

The mentioned orders of the Ministry of Finance will come into force from January 1, 2020, and valid until December 31, 2026.
