Russia was Turkey’s largest gas supplier in August

According to results of August of this year, Russia was Turkey’s largest gas supplier, says statement of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), APA-Economics reports citing Anadolu.

It was noted that Russia exported 1,37 bln. cubic meters of gas to Turkey in August. Azerbaijan and Iran (with 986 mln. cubic meters and 406 mln. cubic meters correspondingly) took their places after Russia in the list of Turkey’s main gas suppliers.

It was noted that total volume of gas import to Turkey in August increased by 6,5% – to 3,35 bln. cubic meters compared to the same period of 2019. Approximately 2,76 bln. cubic meters of this volume fell to the share of pipeline, while 591 mln. kcubic meters – to the share of liquid gas.
