
SOCAR will pay loan of $ 361 mln on oil refinery in Turkey

The payments on the loans involved in the construction of the Star Refinery in the Aliaga Peninsula in Turkey by Socar will be implemented according to the plan, said the head of the SOCAR-Turkey Refining and Petrochemical Cooperation and general director of Petkim Anar Mammadov at the online press conference, APA-Economics reports.
Note that the refining capacity of the Star oil refinery of SOCAR commissioned in 2018 is 10 mln tons. Its main products are diesel fuel (4.8 million tons), jet fuel (1.6 million tons), naphtha (1.6 million tons), liquefied petroleum gas, mixed xylene, petroleum coke. The plant locates on the Aliaga Peninsula, which is of strategic importance in terms of transportation. Alongside Star oil refinery, as well as, SOCAR's Petkim petrochemical complex, wind power plant, and SOCAR, the largest port in the Aegean Sea operate in the framework of a single infrastructure and value chain in the Aliaga Peninsula.
