18.1 billion standard cubic metres (bcm) of gas was produced from Shah Deniz field located in Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian sea in 2020 and this is 7,7% more than compared to 2019, APA-Economics reports citing BP report on results of operations in Azerbaijan in 2020.

3.6 million tonnes (29 million barrels) of condensate in total from the Shah Deniz Alpha and Shah Deniz Bravo platforms.

During the reporting period, 3.6 million tonnes (29 million barrels) of condensate in total from the Shah Deniz Alpha and Shah Deniz Bravo platforms were produced and this is 2,9% more in annual comparison.

According to the report, In 2020, Shah Deniz spent more than $1 billion in operating expenditure and $942 million in capital expenditure, the majority of which was associated with the Shah Deniz 2 project.

Note that the agreement on the distribution of shares in the Shah Deniz field was signed and ratified in 1996. Shah Deniz participating interests are: bp (operator – 28.8%), TPAO (19.0%), AzSD (10.0%), SGC Upstream (6.7%), PETRONAS (15.5%), LUKOIL (10.0%) and NICO (10.0%).
