Turkey increased Azerbaijani gas import by 21% last year

Turkey has imported 11 547,38 mln cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan last year, and this is 20,5% more than in comparison to the figure of 2019, according to the calculations of APA-Economics based on Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority.

Thus, Azerbaijan ranks second in Turkey's total gas imports.

Turkey imported 9 584,75 mln. cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan in 2019.

According to information, in November this year, Azerbaijan ranked second in Turkish gas imports with 1 102,36 million cubic meters (+ 18,94%).

According to the results of last year, Russia ranks first in gas import to Turkey. In the reporting period, 16 176.34 mln cubic meters of “blue fuel” has been exported to Turkey from Russia. This figure has been equal to 2 948,6 mln cubic meters in November.
