Turkey is determined to connect Afghanistan with Europe via Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTQ) railway line using Lapis Lazuli route, said Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu, APA-Economics reports citing the Turkish press.
It is noted that Turkey and Afghanistan will sign a cooperation agreement regarding the research and development activities in the field of transport (mainly in the field of roads, railways and aviation) on Thursday.
“We are ready to conduct important procedures in order to increase railway transport opportunities and create new cooperation opportunities between our countries” said A.Karaismailoglu.
