Azerbaijan may increase electricity production

Electricity production may be reached to 27,5-28 billion kWh in Azerbaijan in 2020, according to the calculations of APA-Economics.

The volume of electricity produced in Azerbaijan during 2018, growth rates of the current year and the production capacity of “Shimal-2”, which was commissioned in September 2019 have been taken into account at the calculations.

Note that 23 243,7 thousand kWh electrical energy produced in 2018. Taking into consideration that “North-2” electrical station would produce 3,2 billion kWh electrical energy during the year and monthly indicators of electrical energy in the country this year, it can be produced 27,5-28 billion kWh electrical energy (averagely 5% increase) in Azerbaijan next year.
