Azerbaijan's Energy Minister: “Electricity production increased by 18% in the country over the past 10 years

"Fundamental reforms are being made in the electricity sector in Azerbaijan and these reforms will be continued", Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said this statement to journalists, APA-Economics reports.

The state pays great attention to the development of the energy sector, and lots of work is being done to develop this area: "As a result, electricity production in the country has grown by 18% over the past 10 years", said Minister.

As a result of the work done, energy loss has fallen from 22.6% to 10.5%: “The production of energy in the republic is increasing. Electricity production has increased by 3.6% in 9 months of this year. This indicator is expected to increase by 8% and 10% in 2020 and 2021, respectively”, stated P. Shahbazov.
