“3 bln. c/m gas has been transported to Turkey through Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) from July of the previous year until today”, said Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov while his speech in International Energy Charter Forum held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, execution condition of the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP), which is main segment providing delivery of Azerbaijan gas to Europe, is about 90%.

“In 2020 the expansion plan, for which Europe has held discussions and tried to achieve for many years, will be realized. That is why Azerbaijan’s awarding with chairmanship to the International Energy Charter Forum is the appreciation of strategic role of South Gas Corridor. It is approval of expected contribution of the Corridor to priorities such as diversification and decarbonisation of continent”, noted the Minister.
