BP: Inspection of West Chirag platform to be conducted within a short period of time

“Considered preventive measures, conducted in West Chirag platform, exploited in Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block, located in Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, will cover shorter period of time”, Tamam Bayatli, head of Public Relations Department of the BP, told APA-Economics.

According to the information, implementation of planned inspection works in West Chirag platform is considered in October of the current year.

“Date has not been determined yet, but they are planned for October”, said T. Bayatli.

According to her, activity of the platform will be halted for at least 5-6 days within framework of the inspection.

Note that it has been informed activity of West Chirag platform would be stopped on October 15 for 2 weeks.

Additionally, on April 15 of this year Central Azeri platform, located in ACG, was also stopped for 2 weeks due to conduction of planned preventive measures.

Remind that daily average production of ACG was 542,4 thousand barrels or in total, more than 98 mln. barrels (13 mln. tones) in the first half of 2019. More than USD 272 mln. was spent on operational expenditures and more than USD 657 mln. on capital expenditures of ACG activity during the first half of 2019.
